EAGLES LOSE YET ANOTHER CLOSE GAME, April 30

In the last week of the the season the Eagles played the Parlier Panther away in Parlier, May 6.

The Eagles came off slow to a slow start compared to the ecstatic Panthers who were ready for a win on there Senior night. The Panthers scored in the first inning while the Eagles struggled to regroup and remained scoreless until the 3rd. Senior JP Caprioglio pitched for the first five innings and was replaced by, substitute player Caleb Nale.

Nale pitched for an inning and a half where JP relieved him and once again lead the Eagles on the mound. The Eagles scored in the sixth but the Panthers scored with perfect hit in the bottom of the 7th leaving the score 4-3.

Freshman Tyler Breedlove believed that the team had a bad day and hoped to go out on a bang for the last game of the season.

“My hitting could have been better,” Breedlove said. “As a team we made too many silly mistakes like over throwing first base and dropping a catch. We just need to learn how to hit slow pitches and fast pitches equally well because slow pitches are our downfall.”

The last game of the season will be on Friday away at Riverdale.
