BRIEF: Leadership puts on first rally, Sept. 27

Student leadership will put on a rally for the fall sports teams in the FC gym, Sept. 27. This event is intended to increase school spirit and get everyone pumped and ready for the football game Friday night against El Sobrante Christian School, beginning at 7 p.m. Leadership encourages all of the students to be full of spirit and participate in the rally.

Leadership asks all students to wear clothes according to the season their class has been given. The dress up days is as follows: seniors should wear winter clothes, juniors dress in fall clothing, sophomores in spring and freshmen in summer outfits.

ASB President Caleb Nale, ’14, along with the rest of the Leadership class, planned this rally to not only be full of school spirit, but to introduce some new elements that will hopefully become an FC tradition.

“We are going to start something new by making it a competition, and I think the students will enjoy it and get excited,” Nale said. “At first, I don?t think the students will understand what?s going on. But once they see everyone going crazy, they will jump in and the atmosphere will be even better from what it has been.”

Leadership student Olivia Quebe, ’16, is enthusiastic about first rally and the school spirit it will bring to the campus. She hopes people will jump on board with the new ideas of the event.

“I think it?s going to be exciting because it?s the first rally of the year and it will get everyone in to school spirit and ready for the football game,” Quebe said. “There are new people in leadership therefore there are new ideas and fresh minds to give inspiration to the theme of the rally.”
