EAGLES PICK UP WIN ON THE ROAD, OCT. 22

The Eagles volleyball team played away at Riverdale against the Cowboys, winning 3-0 with a significant lead in each of the three sets.

In the first set the Eagles came off to a favorable start winning 25-18, pumping the girls up for the next two matches.

With the Eagles on fire from the first set, the team won the next two sets by a similar range, granting them their second straight league victory.

Junior Ashley Garcia was happy with how the team played and thankful with the new defense which helped put the win together.

?We played well,? said Garcia. ?We have improved a lot over the past weeks through changes of formations and the development of players. We put together a new defense which helped make the win and I hope it keeps up for the last couple of days.?

Senior Annaleah Madison was happy with how she played and with the rest of teams effort.

?It was wonderful to have Ivette back,” said Madison. “She helped hold the team together and create the win. I could have don better but overall the team played well and we came out with a win.?

The Eagles will next play away at Caruthers against the Blue Raiders on Oct. 24.
