EAGLES DROP LEAGUE MATCH, OCT. 8

The Fresno Christian Eagles played the Caruthers Blue Raiders on Friday Oct. 8. Both teams played their hardest, making the game an intense match. Yet the Blue Raiders were able to keep a small lead throughout the game ending the contest 3-0.

In the first match the Eagles fought hard but Caruthers pulled ahead, winning by 5 points.

The second match started off brisk , both teams playing their best to take the lead. But in the end the Eagles lost by two points after fighting in deuces, finishing the second set 28-26.

Still adamant to try their hardest the Eagles played their best but still lost by six in the end, with the final score being 25-19.

Senior Annaleah Madison was a little crestfallen with the loss but hopes for a better end result in later games.

“We played okay,” said Madison. “With mistakes every so often we lost the game and weren’t able to take the lead. We pulled it together in the second set but just couldn’t pull through and finish.”

Junior Ashley Garcia was disappointed with the loss but knew the girls played their best.

“It was a tough game,” said Garcia. “We made some mistakes which let the Blue Raiders pull ahead in each of the three sets. Hopefully next week we will fix those mistakes and put a win under our belt.”

The Eagles will next play the Fowler Redcats on Oct. 10
