The FCS Faculty/Staff Scholarship game is set for another year of basketball entertainment. In its 12th year, the FCS faculty has pledged to play the varsity team on May 2 and will offer the annual scholarship to a current campus senior.
Fundraising is received through pledges at the Faculty/ Staff basketball game and donations gathered throughout the spring.
“I got involved with the game because I enjoy and appreciate the experience it provides me,” Scott Falk, campus pastor and event organizer, said. “It also gives me another opportunity to serve our graduating seniors in this one final way.”
Parents and alumni can contribute money either through a flat pledge or through pledging a certain amount of money per faculty point scored. The scholarship has ranged from $1800 to $2500 in years past and is presented during the graduation ceremony on May 29.
Requirements for seniors are a three-year attendance period at FCS, an active participant in their church and a written essay on their walk with God.
