REDCATS SQUEAK BY THE EAGLES, OCT. 29

The Eagles played the Fowler Redcats at home on Oct. 29. FC was looking for a league win at home to help their record bump above .500.

The Eagles played well in the first set, beating the Redcats 21-25. However, Fowler fought back in the second, taking it 25-22.

The Redcats played well in the third set as well, winning it 25-20. Down two sets to one, the Eagles played hard and won the fourth set 22-25.

It all came down to the fifth and final set. Tied at 2 sets apiece, either team only needed 15 points to claim victory. The Redcats outplayed the Eagles, winning the last set 15-12.

This loss dropped the Eagles to 3-4 in league and 10-10 overall.

Senior Annaleah Madison was disappointed with the loss but was happy with the tenacity with which the team played with.

“It was a close game,” said Madison. “We played well in the first game but could not pull through for the next three sets. With this game I hope the team is even more aggressive of wanting to win.”

The Eagles will next play the Minarets Mustange on Oct.31.
