EAGLES ADVANCE THROUGH FIRST PLAYOFF CONTEST, Nov. 12

The Eagles played the Kings Christian Crusaders in the second round of the CIF Division V playoffs, after both teams had a bye in the first round. The game was played at FC, on Nov. 12.

Kings Christian came out strong and won the first set 29-27. But FC fought back and won the second set 25-19. The Eagles, looking to capitalize on their strong play, took the third set 25-20.

However, Kings Christian put up more of a fight than FC expected, capturing the fourth set 25-13. In the fifth and final set, the Eagles went out and won 15-6.

Junior Gaby Siqueiros, went into the game with a mindset of winning. She shared her thoughts on the match.

“We thought we were going to win going into the game and we were right,” Siqueiros said. “We knew it was going to be a difficult game because both teams were so evenly matched. It was a really long game and I think we could have won it a lot quicker if we would have played harder. It doesn’t matter though because we won.”
