EAGLES TAKE HOME OPENER BY 24, BEAT YOSEMITE, 76-52, Dec. 11

The Eagles played their home opener against Woodlake High School, Dec. 10. This game would be their second of the year, after beating Yosemite High 64-46 in Oakhurst, Dec. 3.

FC started unbelievably hot, getting to a 19-0 lead in the first quarter. It was clear that Brian Scott, ’14 would have a big game, after he hit his first three shots within the opening minutes. Between acrobatic layups and long 3-pointers, Scott ended with 26 points, the most by and Eagle this year.

The first quarter ended with FC in the lead, 26-6. The Eagles continued to build their lead, and won the game 76-52.

Senior Caleb Nale thought that the game was a solid way to open the home season, but there is always room for improvement.

For more information, see the Winter sport box scores, 2013-14.
