Local churches host holiday services, activities

In the springtime many people feel the urge to attend church regularly, but some do not know where to start. Local churches are hosting various events that provide fellowship as well as education about Christ’s suffering.

Thirteen local churches in the surrounding community will be commencing in various services for Good Friday and Easter Sunday:

?IBethany Mennonite Brethren Church: Good Friday service at 7pm. that will be a traditional one hour or less worship service. On Easter Sunday there will be an Easter service at 7:30 a.m. followed by a continental breakfast and a conventional 9:30 a.m. service.

?The Bridge Evangelical Free Church: Good Friday splash at 6:30 p.m. where 75 people will be baptized. Easter Sunday will consist of normal Sunday services.

?Clovis Hills Community Church: Easter Carnival on Saturday from 1:30 p.m. until 4 p.m. The carnival will be followed by a 4:30 p.m. service as well as a 6:00 p.m. service. The main event on Sunday will be 7,000 Easter eggs dropped from a helicopter to kick off the annual Easter egg hunt.

?Fresno Christian Reformed Church: Good Friday service at 6:30 p.m. on Easter morning the church will have an Easter service at 9:30 a.m. followed by an Easter egg hunt.

?Gods Family Church: Hosting a Good Friday service with an Easter egg hunt. Easter sunday service will consist of normal gathering times.

?Northeast Assembly of God Church: Good Friday service at 6 p.m., an Easter Sunday breakfast will be held before the 10 a.m. service and an Easter egg hunt will follow at 11:30 a.m.

?Northwest Church: Good Friday service at 12 p.m. and Saturday services at 4:00 p.m. and 6 p.m.. Easter Sunday services will be held at the normal times.

?Peoples Church: Self guided Good Friday procession called, The Way of the Cross, it will go from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m. The goal of this event is to show the journey of Christ carrying our burdens.

?Riverpark Bible Church: Good Friday service at 7 p.m., and Easter Sunday services will be held at 8:30 a.m. and 10:15 a.m.

?Trinity Community: Regular services on Sunday with an Easter message.

?Valley Christian Center: Regular services at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., followed by a Spanish service at 12:30 p.m.

?The Well Community Church: Good Friday service at 7 p.m. on the North campus and regular services will be held on Easter Sunday at all three campuses.

?Woodward Park Baptist Church: Good Friday service at 7 p.m. focusing on the Lord’s Supper. Easter Sunday service will be held at 10:30 a.m.
