While the small stature of junior Ani Paparigian, right, may appear timid, the 5 foot actress became the perpetrator of first degree murder during the campus production, Man Behind the Mask.
The drama team presented a spoof of the hit Broadway play, Phantom of the Opera, to the student body, May 5. Paparigian’s character, Regina Brooks, played the role of a rich, and unhappily betrothed girl named Desiree Carstairs.
As Carstairs, Paparigian supposedly shoots her soon-to-be-husband, junior Trevor Bodi, left, with a blank in a scene of the daytime drama. The cast later discovers that a phantom filled the prop gun with a real bullet, thus actually killing Bodi’s character.
