Senior Scott Orcutt’s outrageous dance moves pay off as he is crowned homecoming king by alumnus Coleton Hutchins.
A recount of the ballots took place in order to ensure the rightful king was crowned. The top two king candidates were within two votes of each other.
“Not only am I honored to win homecoming king but it was also a big honor to work with the other four candidates,” Orcutt said.
The kings formed a bond of friendship after several long dance rehearsals together.
“I’m glad Scott [Orcutt] won,” fellow nominee Nathan Hinajosa said. “I actually voted for him myself because he is just so awesome.”
