Despite striving to be homecoming king 2008, the senior nominees expressed their aspirations to be famous during the annual king pageant.
Each year the kings perform a choreographed dance to try and sway the voters’ decision. The boys opened their routine with “When I Grow Up” by the Pussycat Dolls and concluded with the crowd favorite, “I Just Can’t Wait to be King” from Disney’s The Lion King, Oct. 3.
After a total of 18 hours of practice over the course of three days, the student body cheered on seniors Scott Orcutt, left to right, John Dinsdale, Andrew Rurik, Nathan Hinojosa, and Trevor Bodi as they danced to “YMCA,” “Lip Gloss,” “What Is Love,” “Fergalicious” and “I Want It That Way.”
