While everyone held their breath as the 2008 homecoming king was announced on Oct. 3, junior Doug Daniel was overcome with euphoria as Scott Orcutt’s name rang over the loudspeaker.
As other students responded with polite clapping and “whooing,” Daniel responded by jumping a foot in the air, pumping his fist and exclaiming “YES!” as his favorite nominee was declared the winner.
