For the first time, the campus Bible department has decided to dedicate a whole week to the student’s spiritual development. “Spiritual emphasis week” also serves as preparation for the first service project day, Nov. 5.

Ryan Townsend, center, young adult pastor at Northpark Community Church, came to campus to speak and lead the students in worship, Oct. 27.

“I just wanted to introduce to people the idea of caring for the poor as true worship,” Townsend said. “I think it’s something that has been lost a little bit in the last 50 years in churches in America. It’s clearly a biblical command from God.”
