Intense defender turned offensive

FC defeated Madera South, 57-36, in the second game of the Clovis Invitational, Dec. 4. Senior Emily Krieghoff’s 10 points contributed to the team’s offense, but she said the turning point proved to be their defensive efforts. She also said the Eagles’ intensity on defense made the difference and their willingness to drive to the basket opened up scoring opportunities.

While Krieghoff is counted on for her defensive efforts, she scored 24 points and added 9 assists in FC’s tournament games.
