Alumnus Jameson Workman shares his studying abroad experiences during a combined junior/senior English class.
While a number of his expressions were apparently British-born, and he insists are his own tastes, Workman spoke about the importance of experiencing another culture in a three-piece suit, Dec. 17.
After graduating from FC in 2001, Workman said he never considered attending an American university for grad school after traveling to Europe with Mr. (Greg) Stobbe on his educational study tours.
Currently Workman is studying for his doctorate in Medieval Literature at Oxford University after getting his bachelor’s degree at the American University in Paris and master’s at Oxford.
He said he enjoys studying in a formal environment which includes wearing suits, white bow ties and robes to nightly hall formal dinners and tests.
Workman lives in London with his wife Julia, whom he met in Paris, and travels between New York, Fresno and Carmel to visit family.
