The Eagles ran past Capital Christian, 48-40, in the championship game of the West Coast Jamboree, Dec. 30.
The outing was not as much of a game as the score might indicate, as FC controlled it from the early goings, and had only a few miscues with 4th quarter fouls.
“The team played a high intensity game and really believed in themselves,” head coach Josh Tosland said. “We controlled the game from the beginning and kind of let it slip a little in the fourth with some fouls, but we kept it going and secured the title.”
The Jamboree marked the team’s first tournament championship so far this season in only their third try. FC will next make a run at the Mission Prep Showcase, Jan. 2-3.
