During the annual Garces Holiday Festival, sophomore Cassidy Hutchins scored the only goal in the Eagles first win against the Arvin Bears, Dec. 19.

After having played stopper last season, Hutchins leads the girls’ team in goals as a right half back. At first, Hutchins disliked the change, but over time she grew to enjoy it.

“Last year Garret [Markarian] put me as center-mid one game,” Hutchins said. “I barely lasted five minutes; I couldn’t run that much. But now that I’ve gotten in better running shape, I like offense because you can change the game a little more.”
