Freshman Chandler Vargas, a valuable component of the JV boys’ basketball team, is determined to get a rebound. Hoping to play for the varsity team sometime in the future, Vargas realized the importance of giving full effort.

The JV boys’ basketball team lost to the Fowler Redcats 43-33 at home, Feb. 17. The team experienced many close games during the season, allowing them to learn the value of perseverance.

The JV team finished with a 5-5 West Sierra League record and went 13-8 overall.
