After three months of dedication to their high school newspapers, hundreds of students from across the country gathered in the Phoenix Convention Center for the annual NSPA journalism convention, April 16-19.

In anticipation for the final awards ceremony, the campus newspaper staff, among 15 others, patiently awaited the results of the 2009 Online Pacemaker award.

Although the Eagles’ writers missed receiving a second consecutive Pacemaker, the team was still presented with fifth place in the online Best of Show.
