Testing the frequency of waves out in the hallway, fourth period physics class took the comprehension of waves to a new level, May 12.
Megan Ortiz, ’09, right, enjoyed the experiment. “I thought it was cool to see the reaction of flicking the slinky,” Ortiz said. “It was cool to go out in the hall and test it out for ourselves rather than just watching Mr. Mac draw it on the board.”
The slinky was 25 feet long and stretched across the hallway. Chemistry teacher David MacEntee sat at one side and created different variations of waves with senior Nick Anderson, center, on the other side.
