During an in-service ice-breaker prior to the start of school, teachers old and new engaged in games to learn facts about their fellow faculty members. Math teacher Jane Gillespie, right, learned about daring tasks made by retired-Armed-Forces-turned-science-teacher, Herb Kendall.
“We played a game where each person said something they have done that is different or special in some way,” Gillespie said. “Mr. Kendall said he had rappelled down a huge dam, which I thought was amazing! I also learned that he has been around the world with his military experience.”
