In order to combat the heat of the afternoon, two elementary students slip across the girls’ basketball team slide during the fall sports kickoff and carnival, Aug. 29.
While the prospect of being thrust down 30 feet of slick plastic was intimidating to some, the thick heat of the afternoon was enough to prompt a head-first dive.
