Senior running back Landon Martens left this Kings Christian defender along with the rest of the Crusaders in his wake in route to 4 touchdown runs. In a second consecutive dominate performance, the Eagles beat their opponent 40-6, Oct. 2.
Martens is averaging 8.8 yards per carry and 121 per game, while leading FC with 8 total TDs. Head coach Bonner Cunnings says his running back has potential to score every time he touches the ball.
“Landon has proven himself to be our number one skill player,” Cunnings said. “Due to his athleticism and toughness he has brought a threat to our offense: defenses must be prepared for his ability to score on any given play.”
FC will next play at Tranquillity on Oct. 9 at 7 p.m.
