While the offense was firing on all cylinders, it was the defense this week who garnered the coaches attention. Senior Gerald Bell, left, backstopped a FC defense which limited Kings Christian to only 1 touchdown in the Eagles 40-6 victory, Oct. 2.

Head coach Bonner Cunnings recognized Bell’s efforts in anchoring the defense.

“Gerald exemplifies what discipline and desire can do for an athlete,” Cunnings said. “He has improved his fundamentals to the point that he is one of our best in the secondary [defense].”
