Senior Eric Johnson appears focused on the action, during the Eagles recent game vs. Tranquillity, Oct. 9.

However, some speculate that the 6’3″ 225 pound lineman was day-dreaming about the brand new Singer sewing machine he hoped to win at the Big Fresno Fair, eager to try it out. Johnson earned Best of Show in the Beginning Junior Exhibits Clothing Contest, Oct. 14 to win the prize.

The machine was donated to the fair by D&J Sewing Center in Clovis.

Though he attended the awards ceremony, Oct. 13, in anticipation of claiming his prize, Johnson’s spirits were crushed when he was awarded only an empty box to be redeemed for the actual machine at D&J.
