With a goal of writing over 500 articles per school year, The Feather staff has earned the distinction of a daily high school newspaper. And, despite a chilly morning, a majority of the staff met on the steps of the Woodward Park Regional Library for the annual yearbook photo in Nov., 2008.
Last year’s staff, led by editor-in-chief Chelsea Joy and webmaster Andrew Rurik, were Pacemaker finalists for the fourth year in a row, awarded by the National Scholastic Press Association. The hardcopy and its editor, Elizabeth Grossman, were recently recognized with a gold medal from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association.
After the nomination in the spring, the 2009-2010 staff, with over 40 members, hopes to exceed these standards and win The Feather’s third online Pacemaker.
