During Ellen King’s fifth period Bible class, students sort through food and games to send as gifts to soldiers stationed over seas through Any Soldier Inc. This organization started in August 2003 as an effort to help soldiers in the army.

Students and staff donated over 100 stuffed animals in hopes of providing soldiers with gifts to hand out to local children, Dec. 1. Canned food was also collected and packed in large boxes in preparation to be sent to needy families across the U.S.

Although most items have already been packed, donations are still accepted in King’s classroom through Dec. 15.
