While learning a blind stitch sewing technique used to repair hems, Kasey Thompson, ’11, accidentally stitched a piece of cloth to his pants.
Instead of holding the fabric against the palm of his hand, Thompson laid it against his pants. Then he completed several stitches, firmly attaching the fabric to his pants.
Thompson was entertained by the accident.
“I laughed when I realized what I had done,” Thompson said. “After all, now I have a back-up plan in case my pants rip.”
