Just as boys are supposed to ask their date to Night of the Stars in the most creative manner possible, girls are expected to do the same when asking a boy to Sadie Hawkins. For her creative idea, senior Melissa O’Leary, right, asks fellow senior Julio Ibarra, in red, to be her date for the Magic Mountain adventure on April 10.

Before the worship band walked on stage to start chapel, O’Leary skipped out on stage with a microphone in her hand reciting a rap she wrote that matched the theme song to The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.

During her performance, several of O’Leary’s friends gave Ibarra plate after plate of brownies, cookies and pastries O’Leary made the night before. Once the song was over, O’Leary lined up next to all of her friends to have Ibarra read their homemade shirts which all together spelled “Sadies?”
