During chapel for Missions Emphasis Week, campus soccer coach Matt Markarian discusses the importance of volunteering in missions work over spring break, March 23. He promoted Breakaway, a citywide community service event where youth groups from around California camp-out together at Peoples Church.

This outreach includes several service projects, worship, and guest speakers, and will last from March 28-April 1. In total, there will be over 500 students on the Peoples Church campus. 40 tents which are originally priced at $1000 a night to rent were freely donated for the Breakaway participants to use.

Anyone can volunteer to pray, cook and serve meals, help on the kitchen team, work security, take pictures, purchase supplies, and even give out scholarships.
