For the 4th-annual World Market event hosted by teacher Ellen King’s history class, the 7th grade students prepare home-made goods and food and sell them to parents and high school students. Students, such as Hoi Yan Wu (Yan-Yan), left, and Lindsey Biehler, made their sale items in accordance with their assigned country. For example, those assigned the country of China might sell fortune cookies or origami.
In addition, students also dress up to match the style of the country they are portraying.
