During the journalism trip to Portland, OR, for the Spring JEA/NSPA convention, reviews editor Ashley Ward, ’11, and web-master David Casuga decide to have breakfast at John’s Cafe, April 15. The owners of this cafe, Christina and Demetrios “Jimmy” Kapsopoulos have been married for 40 years, and have worked at the cafe for 38 and a half years.

They are currently the only two working at this family friendly cafe in Portland’s Pearl District, and make it a priority to create relationships with their customers. Although they have worked at the same cafe for almost 4 decades, the couple continues to work because it makes them feel young.
