During the first worship chapel of the school year, junior Josh Hopper reads scripture from the book of Judges on stage, and discusses the story of Gideon defeating the Midianites, Aug. 23.

Hopper humorously mentioned that Gideon had an army of only 300 people, which happens to be the number of high school and junior high students on campus. Hopper challenged the student body to “shine their light,” in accordance with the school’s theme for the year.
