In order to grasp a deeper understanding of the U.S. Constitution, students in civics were tasked with creating a new amendment. Seniors Ashlyn White, left, and Bridget Teixeira give their presentation on the Eighth Amendment.
White and Teixeira chose to alter this amendment by re-instituting public humiliation as a form of punishment. The two believed their change to the Constitution would discourage the public from crime, as well as shame those found guilty of larger crimes such as murder and embezzlement.
