After the FC choral group finished their prepared songs, awards were bestowed to fellow singers from the judges. Geoffrey Boers, Director of Choral Activities at the University of Washington in Seattle, came on stage to critique them and choose to highlight junior Josh Hopper as “Mr. Confidence,” Oct. 14. Hopper apparently portrayed poise in his singing, and was then asked to sing in front of the students as an example.

Along with FC, several local choral groups gathered at Clovis North Educational Center for a choral group festival hosted by Fresno Pacific University.

The choral department will next perform at the Harvest Concert in Ground Zero, Oct. 18. The evening will begin at 7 p.m. and include junior and senior high choirs and ensemble. Admission is free but donations are gladly accepted.
