Cheer clinic 2023 welcomes over 100 kindergarten to fifth grade students to learn and perform a dance routine for Eagle Fest, Oct. 20. Cheer clinic gathers Oct. 16-20 as elementary students split up by grades and are taught by their varsity and middle school cheerleaders.
Varsity cheer coach, Hope Villines, has coached for 10 years.
“I have a philosophy,” Villines says, “Build it, and they will come.”
Milly “Kit-Kat” Morgan, ’25, has been involved in FC Cheer for seven years.
“I think it’s a great way to represent the kind of cheerleaders this school is bringing up for future years!”
The Varsity cheer team at Fresno Christian is building the future for themselves while putting confidence in these young girls. They learn how to cheer in front of a large audience, providing an outlet for their energy and voice. For the past forty-one years, it has been a tradition for these young girls to learn the basics of cheer and stunt from the experienced Varsity cheer team at Fresno Christian.
