As the cold winter approaches its end and spring blossoms appear, the Fresno Christian Golf team, led by Coaches James Garcia and Pete Howell, grab their clubs and prepare their swings for the upcoming 2025 season.
Outside of school, the team practices at Valley Golf Center and Airways Golf Club developing their personal skills while also working together as a team and honoring Christ through their play.
After coming up short placing fourth overall in their league championship last season, they look to continue reaching new heights further growing and building on their past accomplishments bringing an exciting future for the program.
With many new players joining this year along with returning players bringing in more talent and giving the team even more depth with endless possibilities for this year. Sophomore Knox Beery is eager for the start of the new season, with anticipation for the team’s continued development
“Heading into this season, I’m feeling a sense of excitement and hope,” Beery said. “I think that now everyone has a little bit more experience and confidence it will push us as a team to win.”

Garcia has coached FC Golf for three years. He has great expectations for this newly-constructed team and looks to bounce back from past years.
“Every year we start the season we always want to win a league championship,” Garcia said. “Each golfer wants to play better than the last time, not just a goal, but a motivation also. Every match we want to play better than we did before.”
Even though spectators are not allowed at any of the matches, give your best wishes to our Eagles as they tee off.
