Pack your bags and chart your course for a “Destination Homecoming,” which is the theme for Fresno Christian’s 40th Annual Homecoming. During the week of Sept. 22-26, students will journey through an thrilling week with spirit dress-up days, the royal battle, princess games, float building, an amazing football game and more.
For four decades, FC has gathered the community every fall to celebrate homecoming. Historically, this event has collected funding for non-profit organizations, such as Central Valley Honor Flight, Poverello House and American Red Cross. Past themes range from decades and Hollywood to seasons and destinations.
Part of the buzz of Homecoming is who will be elected to the Homecoming Court. Each grade level votes for their candidates to represent their grade for a week full of adventurous and wacky games. The following are this year’s elected candidates:

Senior King and Queen Court:
- King nominees: Benson Elbert, Braden Belmont, Christian Martinez, Bryce Smith, and Tycen Ramirez
- Queen nominees: Danielle Arndt, Delaney Meyers, Jordan Degroot, Kennedy Schwab, and Vivian Cheema
Princess Candidates:
- Juniors: Mayalina Cortez, Olivia Guerrero, and Rachel Garcia
- Sophomores: Ella Barnes, Layna Gailey, and Riley Price
- Freshman: Dakota Schwab, Kate Wyatt, and Presley Meyers
One unique part of this year’s court is that two sets of sisters will be featured: Delaney Meyers, ‘26, and her younger sister Presley Meyers, ‘29, along with Kennedy Schwab, ‘26, and her sister Dakota Schwab, ‘29. Dakota Schwab excited to partake in the big event as a freshman in high school.
“I can’t wait to be with my sister on homecoming court, adding a good specialty to my first year of high school,” Dakota Schwab said, “I’m most excited to just be with friends and have a good time with the games.”
As is tradition, each grade chooses a destination based on the theme. Classes work to prepare their floats for the big night. Votes will take place during the game to determine the winning class. The winning class will be announced the following Monday.
