The stressful season of college applications is upon us, and students are busy gathering letters of recommendation, drafting essays, requesting transcripts and studying for their last SAT/ACT before applying. Student can choose between thousands of colleges and careers, which ultimately dictate their future.
College and Career fairs help students discover new colleges, learn about scholarships and opportunities and prepare for the next stage of their lives. Fresno Christian will host the annual FC College/Career Fair on Sept. 25, 2025.
For the past eight years, the FC College/Career Fair welcomed many colleges and vocational schools from across the country, including GCU and Fresno PD. This is an opportunity for students to see what options are available after high school, including successful careers outside of university education. This year 31 organizations will be represented on campus.
Students are encouraged to ask questions about the schools and programs they offer. They can discover new career paths they may not have otherwise known about.

Braden Belmont, ‘26, attends the college fair every year. He enjoys listening to the representatives present the different opportunities available.
“I like getting all my swag [merchandise],” Belmont said. “It’s cool to see all of the different programs each college offers.”
Different colleges have different admissions requirements, and some students need to change their schedules last minute to meet them. Events like the FC College/Career Fair give students a chance to prepare early and know what they need before admission.
Academic Counselor Evangelina Escovedo explains that hosting a fair on campus makes it easier for students who may lack transportation or have busy schedules to still connect with colleges and career opportunities.
“We’re bringing a mini college fair to students,” Escovedo said. “This will give 9-12 grade students an idea of a few post-high school options, since it’s never too early or too late to plan your future after high school.”

In previous years, students had access to larger events like Fresno CSU Nights and the NACCAP Christian College Fair. This year there are less options and students are left with Fresno Area College Night on Sept. 10.
Blake Bay, ‘27, is excited for the upcoming college fair, and takes advantage of the colleges coming to school every year.
“I like it because it is different from normal lunch,” Bay said. “We get to meet with all the colleges and I can find out what colleges I might want to attend.”
At the FC fair, students can meet with representatives from colleges, trade schools, the military, ministry programs and community colleges.
The FC College/Career Fair will be held on Sept. 25, open to all 9-12 grade students. Whether exploring universities or gap years, the event provides an important step toward equipping students for life beyond graduation.
