Students clamor in the gym while history teacher Robert Foshee calls names over the speakers to board buses and disperse to their Serve Day locations. An annual tradition at Fresno Christian High School takes students off campus to label cans, paint walls, pull weeds, pick up trash and help local churches and services. The 2025-26 school year takes over 150 students to 12 locations, Feb. 20.
Around 8:30 in the morning, students gather in the gym to take a day off from school to serve the community. With buses loaded, 12 groups travel to 12 locations, including
- Graffiti Cleanup
- Community Food Bank
- Peoples Church
- FC Elementary
- Reading Heart
- Bethany Church
- ReStore – Habitat for Humanity
- CrossCity Christian Church
- Every Neighborhood Partnership
- Yo’Ville Community Garden and Farm
- Bridge Church Fresno
- Marjaree Mason Center
This annual tradition gives students a chance to get out of the classroom and give back to Fresno.
