The Feather is back in New York City for the Columbia National Press Association competition, March 12-19. On top of running my regular blog Frame Rate, I’ll be posting a temporary vlog covering favorite frugal food spots around the City. Today’s post includes a dessert spot and a place to find Mexican food.

We might’ve found Donut Plant because we were a little lost. And I might’ve judged East Coast Mexican food too hard before trying it. Los Tacos has fantastic Mexican food. Especially the chips, which taste freshly fried and not too greasy. It’s fresh and runs at a pretty great price. All in all, it’s been a pretty tastey couple of days, with many more to come.
