Congratulations to the FC girls tennis team for placing 3rd in the Central Valley Christian tournament!
The Eagles competed against schools throughout several divisions at the College of the Sequoias, Aug. 17. Schools included CVC, San Joaquin Memorial, and Liberty Madera Ranchos.
Head coach, Daniel ‘Bulldog’ Jessing, prepares his team for the upcoming season.
“This was technically a scrimmage because it occurred a few days before the official start of the season,” Jessing said. “Having said that it was a really good day for the Eagles. We saw so many positive things happen on the courts. A total of 15 girls got to see live action, for seven of them this was their first high school match so it was a huge learning opportunity against quality opponents.”
Coming off of a 12-8 overall record last year and earning a spot in the semi-finals, Jessing has high hopes for his team as they aim to improve their record. The team begins a 16 match regular season schedule this Tuesday at Immanuel High School. Be sure to head out and cheer on your Eagles!
Tennis schedule:
- 8/20 at Immanuel, 4 p.m.
- 8/22 at Sunnyside, 3 p.m.
