FC students and faculty welcome grandparents to the 28th annual Grandparent’s Day, Sept. 20. About 500 grandparents gather at this event to spend time with their grandchildren and experience student life at Fresno Christian.
Grandparents began their day in the courtyard at 9:30 a.m. for coffee and pastries provided by Dutch Bros and FC parents. This time is provided for the visitors to converse and get to know each other and the FC staff.
Grandparents were then introduced to superintendent, Jeremy Brown, high school and middle school principal, Amy Deffenbacher and elementary principal, Katie Reneau as they welcomed everyone into the Fresno Christian environment. Following the introduction, grandparents gathered for an outdoor worship chapel led by the high school worship team.
After chapel, grandparents split off into different classes to find their grandchildren and experience a small part of their average Friday school schedule. To wrap up the event, all grandparents and students were provided with boxed lunches and gathered in the courtyard for an outdoor lunch.
