As homecoming week wraps up, campus students show off their school spirit by wearing spirit wear in anticipation for the big game, Oct. 4. This year a board game-themed slogan is, ‘Homecoming Game On’.
Throughout Sept. 30-Oct. 4, students are awarded points each day for participation from the dress up days. Those points will be added to the points given for each class’ float and the overall class winner will be announced after the third quarter of the game.
Whether it was dressing mis-matched, twinning with someone, only wearing one color or representing their favorite sports team, students spent the entire week dressing up to gain points for their class. The final dress up day allowed students to show their school spirit for the big homecoming game.
The homecoming court will arrive by the FC gym at 5:30 p.m. for their formal shoot before people begin arriving. At 6:00 p.m., the gates are open and people are allowed to see the floats, engage with the nominees and get ready for the big game.
The announcements of the princesses and queens will take place before the game at 6:30 p.m. in front of the bleachers. The nominees will ride in the bed of a Ford Raptor as their pre-recorded introduction plays for the crowd.
The homecoming game begins at 7 p.m. and your 2019 homecoming court winners will be announced at halftime! Make sure to head out and join in on all the fun!
