Over 20 colleges visit FC during lunch for the annual college fair, Oct. 15. Students have the opportunity to walk around to different college booths. They hear from different school representatives on what their school offers to the students. Some colleges give out their school “swag”, including stickers, pens, and t-shirts.
While filling out college applications and writing multiple essays can be very stressful for seniors, the college fair gives students answers to any questions they might have.
Students gain perspective on different colleges, while hearing about the majors, activities, and scholarships each college offers.
Not only do FC seniors attend the fair, but underclassmen and middle schoolers do as well. The representatives help students by giving them an informational card to fill out, so they receive emails of important information and events happening on their campus.
FC academic counselor, Evangelina Tello meets with students to help them get on the right track to graduate. She meets with each senior for their yearly senior meeting to show them what colleges they have the opportunity to attend.
Seniors, don’t forget to finish your applications before the deadlines!
