As early admission for colleges open, seniors begin preparing their applications, Oct. 22. With only a short window for early admission, it may seem difficult to complete applications in this period of time.
Here are some helpful tips from the College Board website to assist you with your application process and how to make it less troublesome.
- Know when your deadlines are: Each college has a different deadline for early admission but the most common deadlines are Nov. 1 and Nov. 15. Make sure to know when the deadlines are so you do not miss it!
- Organize your time: College applications take time. You need to organize your workload so you do not save a lot of work too close to your deadline.
- Do not procrastinate: Do not wait to start your applications! Seniors tend to think that they have a lot of time before they need to start applying but deadlines are right around the corner. Start your applications so you do not stress about it later.
- Proofread before you submit: Read over what you write so you can catch typos. You do not want misspelled words or incorrect information on your college applications.
