Kimberly Bell’s seventh period class competes in the annual home economics cookie bake off, Oct. 23. Each group of students selected a cookie recipe from Pinterest to use for the contest.
This year cookies included peanut butter oatmeal, Boston cream bites, brownie cookies, cinnamon roll, and snicker doodles.
The judges grade each cookie on taste, texture, appearance, moisture, and if they were cooked correctly. The results will be announced this upcoming Friday. Involved in the judges panel was Kori Friesen, Mick Fuller, Robert Hyatt, Superintendent Jeremy Brown, Greg Stobbe and Nate Case.
The home economic class continues to bake and cook many different recipes. Learning skills from chopping to making jams, this class gives students the opportunity to experience “real life” situations and learn many skills they need to know when they are older.
