The FC Eagles defeat Alpaugh, 67-8, at their home game, Oct. 25. Currently the Eagles are 3-1 in league with one game left against Orcutt Academy high school which will decide if the team will head to playoffs.
Each home game, FC leadership chooses a theme as a way to bring involvement into the student body. This games theme was ‘Pink Out‘, which represents support for breast cancer. For this game, the student body choose to directly support Tristian Graham, the son of a 2009 FC alumnus. Graham is diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia, and is currently being treated at Valley Children’s Hospital. The leadership team sold Pink Out shirts for $10 and all proceeds are going to Graham’s medical fund.
At half time, over 100 cheerleaders preformed in front of friends and family for the annual Elementary Cheer Clinic. Varsity cheer coach, Hope Villines led a week long camp where the cheerleaders choreograph dances and learn different routines.
Next week, the Eagles will be facing off against Orcutt at 7 p.m. on the FC field, Nov. 1. The theme is ‘America’, so be sure to wear your red, white and blue attire! Head out to support you football team for their last league game.
