As the fall season arrives, many different events and activities are happening in the Central Valley. Pumpkin patches, Hobbs Grove and corn mazes are some of the seasonal activities that attract locals.
Planet Pumpkin, one of the many places to visit, opens seven days a week, 10 a.m.- 10 p.m. The pumpkin patch consists of food trucks, rides, photo booths and a wide selection of pumpkins.
Ride entry requires tickets, which can be purchased at the entrance. The pumpkin patch includes rides like, a ferris wheel, a haunted house and “Quad Runner”.
Senior Esfandiar Behbehani shares his first time experience at Planet Pumpkin. Open for its ninth consecutive year, Planet Pumpkin offers various activities for both children and adults.
“It was super fun,” Behbehani said. “I got to go with my family and it was really welcoming, there were fun rides and it was cool to be able to pick out our own pumpkins. The food was pretty good, I got mini corn dogs and fries and it filled me up. All the rides were fun, they weren’t intense like Six Flags but they were more appropriate rides for kids, it was still fun though.”
The pumpkin patch officially closes Oct. 31, along with some other fall festivities due to the end of Halloween.
Planet Pumpkin is located, 640 E. Nees Avenue, Fresno, CA 93720, Oct. 1-31.
